The corona crisis has disrupted the way of life worldwide and also in Uganda. People have been staying at home and almost all economic activities were stopped. At home, people were struggling to survive as far as feeding is concerned and also had to adapt to the new normal of social distancing in order to limit the spread of COVID 19 and also remain safe.
Several ways of public relations to warn and instruct the people are widely used and have been developed by our partners abroad. Stichting Mama and Me shared posts in English, Luganda, Acholi and Runyankole. Here is the English version of the corona post from Mama and Me, NL to use and spread (see in picture below).
With the ease of the lockdown, Tusaidiane Uganda is cautioning people to stay safe. TUL is further urging its different partners in Uganda that while going about our activities/business outside our homes, let us be vigilant and take the necessary precautions such as maintaining the appropriate social distance, wear a mask when in public places, stay at home if you have flu or cough, wash our hands regularly with water and soap, use sanitizer if you have access to it and for good respiratory hygiene, always cover the mouth with the elbow whenever you sneeze or cough (the visual images are on the poster above).
Tusaidiane Uganda Limited is grateful to all her partners in the Netherlands and Germany who have offered a helping hand to the beneficiary organizations in Uganda during these tough and strange times.
